SERVICE RECOMMENDATIONS
These strainers are designed for long service under the exacting
conditions created by high temperatures and pressures. They offer
complete protection for pumps, meters, traps, valves and similar
equipment.
SCREENS
Heavy gauge reinforced stainless steel screens normally furnished.
For straining fi ner than the perforations suggested below, use 5/32
perforated screens lined with an appropriate mesh.

CONSTRUCTION
The bodies of both 781 and 781-WE are designed to meet Class 150
specifi cations. Model 781 has raised face fl anges and 781-WE ends
are machined to match schedule 40 pipe. All models have machined
seats in the body and cover to ensure accurate screen alignment.
SELF CLEANING
Self cleaning is accomplished by opening the valve or plug connected
to the blowoff outlet.
FEATURES
All sizes feature a bolted cover machined to receive the screen. Cover
gaskets are designed for high temperature service. Studs are carbon
steel. Covers are normally furnished with a blowoff tapping, without
plug. Blind covers are available.
