Walworth Gate Valves - Overview
Handwheel
Sturdily constructed and mounted on a threaded bushing (yoke nut) for ease in disassembling. Readily adaptable for electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic actuators.
Stem
A sturdy one-piece unit machined with ACME thread for ease of operation and long-thread life.
Stuffing Box
Depth is more than adequate in all sizes and pressures to assure tightness and maximum packing life. Condensing Chamber (not shown) is provided without extra cost on all Gate Valves in the 600 Class. This arrangement can, by request, be provided in other valves.
Adaptable "Universal Yoke"
Makes field conversion to gearing, motor, electric, or hydraulic-pneumatic actuation a simple and efficient operation.
Back Seat Between Bonnet and Stem Head
Aids in relieving the pressure in the Stuffing Box to facilitate repacking.
Body-to-Bonnet Joint
A flat face gasket joint is used in the Class 150 valve. A male and female or tongue and groove joint is used in the body-bonnet connection of the Class 300 and higher valves; this type of closure permits reassembly in the field without danger of misalignment
