Spirax Sarco Steam Flow Meters

Steam flow meters can become an important part of a plant program to control and lower energy costs. By measuring steam flows, a base line of consumption can be established. If steam flow rise above the base range, it becomes a trigger point to investigate the cause for excessive usage.The Spirax Sarco DIVA operates on the well established spring load variable area principal, where the area on an annular orifice is continuously varied by a precision shaped moving cone. A strain gauge measures the force caused by the deflection of the cone. The higher the steam flow, the greater the force. A complete range of devices are offered to read steam flow rates and totals. Auxiliary 4020 ma outputs are also included to drive chart recorders, provide signals to control, equipment, and central data collection equipment.
