The Becker VADS 1500 VariAir Direct Screw is a revolutionary approach to high flow/low pressure air and vacuum requirements. It uses patented variable frequency controller software to maintain either continuous pressure or continuous flow.The unit is a direct drive, air cooled, rotary screw unit housed in a sound enclosure. Being direct drive, the need for gear boxes is eliminated. Due to the variable frequency controller, the pump operates over a wide range of speeds to match your requirements. The VariAir unit is designed to operate from atmospheric pressure to 24” Hg (150 torr) for a vacuum pump; or to a pressure of 15 psig for the compressor version. Capacities range from 460-840 CFM. Motor horsepower range is 20-60 HP depending on load on the unit. Typical efficiencies are 14 CFM of air per compressor HP compared to 100 psig compressors offering ~ 4.3 CFM of air per HP. Electrical savings are in the 70% range. All necessary filters, valves, and controls are included. We carry a full range of vacuum pumps.
