Technical Tips & Information

Boiler Age

If your steam boilers are about the same age and condition as this car, you have an antique in terms of efficiency providing steam for your facility. We see many boilers which are 25 years or older which have been well maintained and are in the same condition as a fine specimen of a 1967 car.

Fast forward about 37 years and although the form and function is the same; performance, fuel efficiency, reliability, handling, automation, computer controlled, and most other features are much improved.

As in our comparison of two corvettes separated by 37 years, the same comparisons can be made between Miura and any boiler made 37 years ago or less. In the past 15 years quantum leaps in boiler design have increased efficiencies, offer steam in 5 minutes from a dead start, provide more Hp in a smaller foot print, require virtually no operator attention to run, and provide reliable operation for many years. If upgrading boilers is on you radar screen this year, give us a call for the full story on Miura Boilers or visit www.miuraboiler.com.
