Technical Tips & Information
Water Hardness Alarm SystemWater hardness is considered to be the most common factor in damaging boilers, cooling towers and other equipment sensitive to scale build up. The hardness level (ionic concentration) of water inflow to this equipment has to be checked manually by using chemical reagents as indicators. Manual measurement creates problems such as time consumption to turn the tests, test errors, data logging, and no method for continuous monitoring of hardness levels.
The Miura Colormetry system solves all these problems by providing for continuous monitoring of water hardness and operation of your water softeners. The primary features include:
1. Automatic monitoring for hardness leakage
2. Detects hardness leakage optically
3. Detects leakage levels 1~2 mg/L
4. Easy to read digital screen
5. Alarm contacts
6. Memory to record leakage incidents
7. One touch reagent cartridge replacement
8. Simple installation
Installation is simple and involves a sampling line going to the Colormetry hardness detector, a drain line, and connections to a 24 volt power source. Contacts are provided to activate an alarm. Reagent cartridges last 3-4 months and are low in cost and simple to install.
