Pulse Metering Pumps

Neptune pulse metering pumps are offered in both manual and programmable models to meet your chemical metering needs.

To select a pump, identify your flow rate and discharge pressure. Do not oversize the pump. A metering pump should be sized so the maximum expected flow rate is 85-90% of the pump capacity. The minimum capacity should never be less than 10% of the pump capacity to maintain accuracy.

Make certain that you match the materials of construction of the pump to be compatible with chemicals being pumped. Also identify if the chemical is viscous or a slurry. Standard metering pumps will handle from water like materials to 1500 cps.

Consider the location of the pump and the environment around the pump. Inside, outside, explosive or corrosive atmospheres are just some of the issues which should be considered.

Metering pump flow rate can be manually adjusted by a micrometer dial while automatic pumps will operate in response to a process signal.

Metering pumps come in a wide variety of types and sizes to meet your application needs. Give us a call next time you have requirement for a metering pump.
