Control Specialties: Past, Present, and Future

Control Specialties was established in 1987 with our goal to provide the very best products and service to our customers. Collectively, here at Control Specialties we bring nearly 125 years of combined knowledge in steam, air, water and vacuum specialties. With over 200 manufacturers and thousands of products, we have gained a reputation among domestic and international corporations as their single source supplier. In October of 2006 we became a Woman Owned Business with certification through WBENC and obtained a CAGE Code to include government business. We do business in the United States including Hawaii and Puerto Rico as well as Canada and Mexico.  We have sat on the SBDC-UGA Georgia Board of Directors bringing a small business perspective to this organization.

The benefits Control Specialties can offer you:

• Personalized service makes voicemail a thing of the past – we are available 24/7.
• We honor all major credit cards and never require a contract or minimum order.
• We are experts at finding hard to locate items.
• No inquiry or order is ever too small.
• We can source virtually anything.
• We offer delivery by all carriers for shipments bound to the U.S., Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico.

We look forward to adding you to our long list of satisfied customers.

Meet Our Team

Ed Moschetti

Edward Moschetti has used his strong technical and training background throughout his career, even before working in boiler consulting. Edward is a Canada native who majored in physics at Muhlenberg College. At the beginning of his career, he worked for Spirax Sarco in a variety of capacities (sales engineer, R&D and branch manager) before moving to ITT Grinnell, a distributor and manufacturer of piping components used in process and utility systems. At ITT he taught specialized technical and management training courses and also served as a branch manager.

In 1978, Edward gained additional management and boiler consulting experience by working with Armstrong International, a manufacturer of process steam equipment and related products. There he worked in a number of management positions before being promoted to Vice President of North American sales.

In 1987, Edward co-founded Control Specialties to distribute engineered process and utility products. Years later, he sold co-ownership in order to focus on boiler consulting, including design and installation of boiler rooms, consulting for process and utility improvements and training.

 Margie Moschetti

A Michigan native with an educational background in speech pathology and elementary education. Margie spent the first two decades of her career with Armstrong International, a manufacturer of process steam equipment and related products. This is where Margie started the process of becoming well versed in maintenance and energy requirements in the industrial, commercial and institutional market places. Starting as an administrative assistant, Margie honed her organizational and management skills, and went on to serve as an R&D Assistant, Petrochemical Sales Assistant, and finally the Corporate Marketing Research Manager in charge of recruiting representatives in sales territories and supervising line and sales staff.

In 1987, Margie co-founded Control Specialties and then later purchased the majority interest in the company in order to control and manage all functions including office and administrative, personnel, creating the sales and marketing direction, securing additional product lines and negotiating with large customers. Margie is a current Board Member of the Small Business Development Corp. of Georgia, USA and a certified attendee of the ExportGA program.

Janice Moody

When Janice Moody graduated with an accounting degree in 1987, joining a team of industrial consultants might not have been her expected career path. Today, however, with 18+ years of experience in the industrial field, doing repairs, sales, surveys, technical support and other key services, she has become an expert on many different products and on many different levels.

Janice joined Control Specialties in 1997 and has worked hard providing daily customer service, technical help, project proposals, website maintenance, shipping and receiving duties, account reconciliations, invoicing, training, and whatever is asked of her.  There is never a task that she won’t undertake!

In her spare time, she and Jerry, her husband of 29 years, like to do things together and have fun. Janice is active with her church in music, mission work, and discipleship classes. In the last couple of years she has started participating in 5K races.  While she is still new at this experience, she has already earned a second and third place finish in her division.

Janice and her husband are the parents of Alison, an elementary school teacher in Florida and Jared, a mechanical design engineer with a firm in Georgia.

Alison is married to Bryce and together they have a baby of their own; making Janice and Jerry very proud grandparents.
