The Armstrong D500690, A8-30 Float & Thermostatic (F&T) Steam Trap, features a 2" trap connection in a same side configuration. The trap allows steam to enter from one side of the trap, and the condensate to discharge from the same side of the trap. A Series F&T traps are for industrial service and feature a balanced pressure phosphor-bronze type bellows caged in stainless steel. The Armstrong A8-30 is cast iron and has a 30 psi maximum operating pressure. The traps are designed for service on heat exchange equipment where there is a need to vent air and non-condensable gases quickly. They are recommended for modulating pressures where widely varying loads are present and are a good choice for their ability to vent air at very low pressures, handle start up air loads, and operate against back pressure.
