A Hermavalve is a hermetically sealed valve that cannot leak to the environment. The Edward Hermavalve cannot leak because it is double-seal welded.
A Hermavalve is a hermetically sealed valve that cannot leak to the environment. The Edward Hermavalve cannot leak because it is double-seal welded.
1 - The multi-ply flexible metal diaphragm is seal welded to the bonnet.
2 - The body-to-bonnet joint is also seal welded.
This construction eliminates any potential leakage through a mechanical joint. This joint is more than just packless - it is hermetically sealed.
Other features of this hermetically sealed valve include:
* High-efficiency flow shape ensures high Cv comparable to or greaten than conventionally packed valves, which has been proven by extensive flow testing
* Ensured lowest possible operating torque due to the non-revolving stem design, which is the only absolute method of avoiding diaphragm caused by rotational forces from a revolving stem
* Two backup stem seals- a packing and the backseat provides backup seals
* Nuclear quality
Available in class 1690 from sizes 1/2 to 2-1/2 inches.
