Drain All 800235 Heater is recommended if units are likely to be exposed to freezing temperatures. The heater has an internal thermostat set for 41°F. In addition to the heater, it is recommended that a simple insulated enclosure be placed over the condensate trap and heat tracing be installed on all connected hard piping.

If you have a Drain All heater installed and want to confirm that it is actually working, simply put the heater in the freezer for a period of time until the heater gets below 40 degrees then remove the heater and plug it in. It should heat up to 100 degrees within 1-2 minutes.
