Hayward Series PKD/PKS Pneumatic Actuators
For All Size of Ball Valves & 1-1/2" to 8" Butterfly Valves
Series PKD pneumatic valve actuators are air to air (double acting) actuators. While the PKS Series are air to air (fail safe) pneumatic valve actuators. Air to air pneumatic valve actuators require air pressure for both actuation cycles, open and close. Air to spring pneumatic valve actuators utilitize a mechanical spring return unit to operate one of the actuation cycles. This type of pneumatic valve actuators can be set to have the spring, rather than air pressure, either open or close the valve.
Hayward PKD and PKS pneumatic valve actuators feature a proven vane design for extremely reliable service with minimum maintenance. This design utilizes only one moving part, the vane assembly, to product torque sufficient to operate all sizes of ball valves and butterfly valves up to 8" in size. The actuator body is constructed from an aluminum alloy and is epoxy coated.
