Load Controls AMP-420A is a loop powered current transformer. Ideal for small or big motors - with convenient 4-20mA analog output. This unit eliminates damage from overloads like starting inrush.
The AMP 420A Installation Guidelines
Mount the AMP 420A and pass the conductor through the window. Either direction is okay.
Connect DC loop power.
12 Volt minimum 28 Volt maximum
Maximum connected impedance is 750 Ohms.
Select a full scale value. Unit is not damaged by an overload such as a starting inrush. Don’t change full scale switches while current is flowing.
FOR LARGE MOTORS:
Use external current transformer with a 5Amp secondary.
FOR SMALL MOTORS:
Reduce full scale by passing the conductor through the window more times.
