Cast Carbon Steel Screwed & Socket Weld Strainers
SERVICE RECOMMENDATIONS
These strainers are designed to ensure complete protection to pumps,
meters, valves and other mechanical equipment from the injurious
effects of dirt, scale, welding particles and other foreign matter in piping
systems. They are well suited for long service under high pressure
and temperature conditions. The standard gasket is limited to 750 F
service.
SCREENS
Stainless Steel screens are normally furnished in the following
perforations:
STEAM .033 (1/32)
LIQUID .062 (1/16)
Other materials and perforations are available.
CONSTRUCTION
Heavy duty, rugged bodies in cast carbon steel are available from stock.
Standard gaskets are spiral wound graphite fi lled. Bore measurement
available to correspond with the inside diameter of standard or extra
heavy pipe. Normally furnished with extra heavy bore.
SELF CLEANING
Self cleaning is accomplished by opening the valve or plug connected
to the blowoff outlet.
FEATURES
Cast steel, straight threaded caps with NPT blowoff connections are
standard on all sizes, facilitating the installation of a blowdown valve.
Blind caps are available and should be specifi ed when ordering if
required. The body and cap have machined seats which allow easy
alignment and accurate reseating of the screen when servicing is
required.
